The best content marketing agencies for marketing-led companies in 2026

In a marketing-led company, the marketing team owns the pipeline number. Inbound, search, and campaigns bring in most new deals, and buyers read and ask AI assistants a lot before they talk to sales. So the team needs more content than it can make, and it needs that content to show up in the pipeline report, not only in traffic. Most content agencies are built to replace a team that does not exist yet. We looked for ones that work well next to a team that does. We checked 29 against their live sites and review profiles, and kept the 13 that held up. Each has a label for what it does best.

    How we chose this list

We used the same checks on every agency, including our own. Here is what earns a spot and how we ordered them.

    Who makes the list

Every agency here does content as a main line of work, can work alongside an in-house marketing team, and has a live site with work you can check. We left out firms whose sites were down or dormant, firms whose basic facts we could not confirm, and firms built only for companies with no marketing team.

How we rank them, in order

    1. How well they fit a team that already owns the plan and the pipeline number
    2. Review proof, counting how many reviews back the score
    3. Whether they show prices, name their team, and explain their method
    4. Whether content connects to leads and pipeline, or stops at output
    5. A clear answer to what they are best at

What we promise on every entry

Every claim can be traced to a source. Ratings always show how many reviews they come from. Prices are shown, or marked not shown. We checked every rating and price on this page against the live source in October 2026, and we hold our own entry to the same checks. The order is a guide, not a precise score.

What they doContent RevOps is a content marketing and demand generation firm for B2B companies with long, trust-led sales. In a lean marketing team we act as the content arm that turns the plan into pages, posts, and assets each month. In a larger team, where content, the CRM, paid, and sales enablement each sit in a different lane, we plug in as the layer that joins them. Most of these teams already own a blog, webinars, guides, and a pile of decks. That content has no clear job, so we give it one and run it as revenue infrastructure. First we map everyone who signs off on a deal and what each one needs to see. Then we build the decision-stage pages your inbound depends on: comparisons, pricing answers, proof, and research. We place that material where buyers look, on Google and in the AI assistants they ask first, and we put it to work in outreach, partner programs, and referrals so it reaches named accounts too. Last, we wire it to your CMS and CRM, so your team can see which page started which meeting and which deal, and report it in pipeline. Our method and prices are published, from 4,100 US dollars a month for consulting to 8,500 for the done-for-you system.

Best forMarketing-led B2B teams that own the pipeline number and want their content tracked in the CRM to meetings and deals, with the method and the price visible before the first call.

    • Works with an existing marketing team as well as for it: consulting, team training, and workflows, or the full done-for-you system. our packages ↗
    • Puts content to work in outreach and paid campaigns as well as inbound, all wired to the CRM, so inbound is not the only way it earns pipeline. our approach ↗
    • Has named case studies that report leads, pipeline, and cost per lead, not only traffic. case studies ↗
    • Builds pages to be found in AI answers as well as on Google, and checks where you appear across repeated runs. our method ↗

    Cons

    • Founded in 2024 with a team under ten, so it has a shorter track record than most agencies on this list.
    • Small review base so far: 5.0 from 5 Google reviews and 5.0 from 1 Clutch review.
    • Does not run paid media buying at volume. If paid search and paid social carry your pipeline, a performance agency is the closer fit.
    • Not the right pick if you only want a set number of blog posts each month. The work is a full system, and the price reflects that.

What they doThe Content Bureau is a San Francisco B2B content and communications agency that has worked since 2000, with a fully remote team. It plans content, writes it, and helps activate it, and it adds executive thought leadership and PR on top. Most of its clients are large companies with their own marketing teams, and the quotes on its site come from marketers at PayPal, Okta, and SAP. Autodesk and Workday are also on its client list. That makes it a good fit for a marketing-led company that already runs the plan and needs senior writers who can keep up with it. One unusual part of the work: it prepares executives to speak at events like SXSW and Davos. More than half its clients have stayed for several years.

What they doWordify is a founder-led content agency for B2B software companies. Kaya Ismail started it in 2016 after years as a software journalist and editor. It sells two monthly plans that bundle articles, search, AI answer visibility, and PR, so an in-house team reviews drafts instead of running production itself. Strategy calls run every two weeks or weekly, with reports on rankings, AI visibility, and pipeline. Its clients lean toward content management software: dotCMS, Storyblok, Magnolia, Crafter CMS, and Liferay, plus Shopify's Hatchful tool. For dotCMS it reports more than 172,000 US dollars a year in search traffic value. It also runs interviews with a client's own experts so the writing carries real opinions. It offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on its three-month terms.

It covers fintech and nothing else: payments, banking, treasury, and infrastructure. The main offer is a fractional editor-in-chief who sits with your marketing leaders and brings editorial standards, briefs, and review steps to the team you already have, plus search and AI answer work. Every engagement is run by the founder with a few specialist partners. For PaymentWorks, a vendor onboarding platform, its case study reports traffic doubled, inbound leads up 192% in a year, and nine closed deals worth 560,000 US dollars in nine months. It works on a monthly retainer with a set team of a strategist, writer, designer, and developer, and it publishes straight into your CMS while you keep control of the calendar. Named clients include Katalon, ScoutQA, Anduin, DeepIDV, and Altexsoft, and for ScoutQA it reports traffic up 320% and more than 5,000 new users. Content is one of seven services, next to search, AI search, paid ads, account-based marketing, and marketing automation. It fits a marketing-led team because it works in the systems that team already runs: HubSpot CRM setup, lead scoring, pipeline stage attribution, and reports built for revenue. Named clients include Vymo, HyperVerge, Docsumo, Everstage, and LeadSquared. For Everstage it grew the site from 20 glossary pages to more than 400, and Everstage's head of marketing says it delivered the 40 pages a month the team needed. Its best-known result, 21 million US dollars in pipeline for Vymo, came from account-based marketing rather than content.

It writes executive thought leadership, customer stories, and research reports, two pieces a month, and builds them into a library your sales team can search. To start, it interviews your marketing lead and your sales lead to find where deals stall. After six months it asks the sellers two questions: did you use this, and did it help you win? Clients include New Relic, Vimeo, Jellyfish, and Workera, and Jellyfish's CMO says the team never needs hand-holding. Its main case study reports 138 leads from five articles in five months, though it does not name the client. The founder also runs a sister agency for AI search.

What they doPurplepatch Services is a Silicon Valley content and positioning agency for software and IT services firms, working since 2005. It starts with messaging before content: a two to four week sprint on positioning, buyers, and the buying journey, then a content system planned by funnel stage, then a monthly retainer. It works with HubSpot and Marketo, and a Clutch reviewer says it acted as an extension of their in-house marketing team. That suits a marketing-led company whose team is busy but whose message has drifted. Its four engagement models are laid out on its site with timelines. Client names are not shown on the site, only logos, and its two Clutch reviews are about web design and branding rather than content.

Best forMarketing-led software and IT services firms that need their positioning fixed before they scale content.

    Pros

    • Starts with positioning and buyer research before any content is made.
    • Works inside HubSpot and Marketo alongside in-house teams.
    • Clear, staged engagement models with timelines on its site.

    Cons

    • No published pricing and no named clients on its site.
    • Only 2 Clutch reviews (4.8), both about web design and branding.
    • Software and IT services only.

What they doStreetwise Consulting is a B2B tech marketing firm started in 2011, whose first clients were BlackBerry and the company now called Finastra. It works in two ways. For small firms it acts as the whole marketing department. For large firms with busy in-house teams, such as Dayforce, Geotab, and Unitron, it plugs in as extra senior help. The work is messaging, campaigns, launches, sales playbooks, and event content rather than search. A Finastra VP says it operates like part of the team. It specializes in explaining hard technology, like quantum computing and vehicle telematics, to buyers with several people in the room. For Geotab it made the content and design for a conference of more than 3,500 people.

Best forMarketing-led tech companies with complex products that need senior help on messaging, launches, and sales material, either as a stretched team or as the whole department.

    Pros

    • Works as the full marketing department or alongside a large in-house team.
    • Long record with named enterprise clients like BlackBerry, Finastra, and OpenText.
    • Strong on sales playbooks and launch content for complex products.

    Cons

    • No published pricing and no reviews on Clutch or G2.
    • Not a search or inbound content agency.
    • Its case studies have no numbers beyond event size.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a marketing-led company?

It is a company where marketing brings in most of the new pipeline, through inbound, search, content, and campaigns, and the marketing team is measured on that number. Sales still closes the deals, but most buyers find the company through marketing first.

What should a marketing-led company look for in a content marketing agency?

Look for an agency that works with your team rather than around it: it follows your plan, publishes into your systems, and reports in the terms your team is measured on. Ask how its work will show up in your CRM, and who on its side you will work with each week.

How much does a content marketing agency cost?

On this list, published monthly prices start at 2,600, 4,000, 4,100, 5,000, and 6,000 US dollars, and go up to 10,000 or more. Seven of the agencies here do not publish a price, and Clutch shows minimum projects from 5,000 to 25,000 US dollars for some of them.

Why is Content RevOps ranked first on its own list?

This is our list, so read our entry with that in mind. We rank ourselves first because we connect content to the CRM and to pipeline, which is what a marketing-led team is measured on. We held our entry to the same checks as the rest, we show our price, and we list our weak points, including our size and our short track record.

How did we choose these agencies?

We started from about 420 content marketing agencies in our database that passed a first quality check. We picked the ones whose model fits a team that already has marketers, checked 29 against their live sites and review profiles, and dropped any whose facts did not hold up or whose sites were down.
